Engagement is Paramount 

 

Less than a third of the American workforce are truly engaged and love what they do - why? Organizations have not been attending to the human drivers of work such as;  people's personal growth, recognition, understanding the true meaning and connection to their work, and those they work with. Ultimately people want to know why their effort has a larger meaning and impact.

If organizations provided and fostered the ecosystem for this to happen then the state of engagement and overall performance would be improved.

Where have all the good leaders gone? There is both a desperate shortage of good leaders because organizations have not mastered the art of developing talent to effectively take on leadership positions and leadership is often defined by the level and effectiveness of influence. The new world of work changes the way we engage with people. The evolved leader needs to engage, renew, and ignite  all segments of the work population whether it be the millennial or the soon-to-be retiree. A mindful leader connects their workforce and gains trust by building a strong and enduring culture that engages and retains their teams as well as getting business results.

Energy is contagious. Harness the individual energy into a focused collective, there are no limits to the results that can be achieved.  Energy can be stored, recharged, and accessed.

It’s the purpose and the energy behind the WHY of the work. Deeper meaning and connection to the work creates intention which leads to a better outcome and provides the significance.

Respect and dignity are the elevation of character and worthiness.

Everyone wants to feel as if they belong and be connected to a group that has a common purpose, characteristics or interests.  

Time is money

Compensation is now in the form of a quality life that helps balance both work and life effectively. True connection is looking at the “whole human” and what the needs are professional and personal.

Communication

 When information is shared that is meaningful, timely, and relevant it builds cohesion and trust.

Employee Engagement is the emotional commitment the employee has to the organization and its goals. 

This emotional commitment means engaged employees actually care about their work and their company. They don’t work just for a paycheck, or just for the next promotion, but work on behalf of the organization’s goals.
